Facilitate Learning and Share Information

Curtis Fitch - eSourcing university

The Curtis Fitch eSourcing University programme, which has been developed in partnership with Cranfield University, provides access to the latest thinking and strategies for on-line negotiations. It consists of quarterly seminars, providing Curtis Fitch clients with the latest techniques for running negotiation events. These include analysis of managed events to demonstrate potential future developments.

The seminars are tailored to your individual business requirements based on the following generic topics:-

  • Influence - Overcoming Barriers to eSourcing
  • Usage & Values - Developing an eSourcing Strategy
  • Optimising Resource - Running Dynamic Negotiations
  • Planning for Action - Game Theory and Negotiation Decision Tree

The Curtis Fitch eSourcing University programme complements the Curtis Fitch eSourcing service and facilitates learning and sharing information on a multilateral basis.

For Curtis Fitch, this learning programme is the key to:-

  • Management of e-Sourcing events including eAuction and
  • Driving forward e-Sourcing technology and new developments

Preliminary Planning

The programme fully reflects the various facets of the procurement process by providing a training regime that mirrors each stage of building a successful eSourcing strategy.

At the outset, Curtis Fitch work with you to examine the spend profile within your organisation and to identify areas suitable for eSourcing activity. In the absence of specific spend analysis, Curtis Fitch undertake a Procurement Diagnostic. This extracts raw data from your financial systems in the form of Vendor Tables and Invoice Tables, which are then organised within a matrix of vendor category codes. This enables a definitive Spend Analysis alongside the procurement structure.

Curtis Fitch overlay your Spend Analysis with a purchasing strategy for each category in order to develop an eSourcing Road Map, which is a project management tool that incorporates the key areas of spend, the internal stakeholders responsible for each category, the sourcing strategy, the target savings and the projected timescales for action.

With your strategy in place the eSourcing workshops will form the next stage of the training process.

eSourcing Workshop

This is the learning launch pad for the purchasing team, providing an information database and intellectual resource to create the environment and develop the capability necessary to attain the targets outlined in the Road Map.

The workshop provides:

  • Access to the eSourcing software platform
  • Information on rationale and policy for eSourcing and eAuctions
  • Key drivers for eAuctions - value, type of product, number of suppliers
  • Template documents and guide to action plan
  • Key contacts and interactive review
  • History of activity and learnings to date

The Curtis Fitch eSourcing University embodies professional development opportunities and intellectual challenges implicit to a seat of learning.
