| SaaS |
| |
| Curtis Fitch iSource™ uses a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. The model requires no hardware or software installation as it is a web based application. It therefore removes the need for long implementation programmes. |
| |
| The key advantages of this solution are |
| |
|
Speed: As a software development company it is essential that we can provide our clients with our most up to date release quickly and efficiently |
|
Flexibility: it can easily be deployed across your business with an internet connection |
|
Cost: low start up costs mean that Curtis Fitch can pass on the benefits to their clients |
|
Secure: the platform is supported by a secure server hosted by our technology partner, which means all of our clients are fully assured that their data is safe. |

| AJAX |
| |
| AJAX (shorthand for asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a group of interrelated web development techniques used on the client-side to create interactive web applications. With AJAX, web applications can retrieve data from the server asynchronously in the background without interfering with the display and behaviour of the existing page. For Curtis Fitch, this means that we can develop real-time interaction with the database server, requesting and displaying information in the blink of an eye, without refreshing the whole page. |
| |
| The advantages are that bids and ranking information can updated and returned to the bidder without the need for 5 or 10 second delays in the browser refresh as the information can be exchanged asynchronously and seamlessly in the background. We are currently developing the AJAX interaction with the Coldfusion server and are looking to deploy this functionality early 2010. |
