These days there are countless devices that have the ability to access the internet. As a result, user interfaces need to cater for as many of these as possible. When it comes to our software, we want it to be as user friendly as possible whilst being accessible from desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Responsive Web Design is a collection of techniques that allows a website to flex and adapt to the size of screen it’s being viewed on.  Someone viewing your site on a smartphone will be shown the same site as the person opening it on their laptop.

The site will have noticed the constraints and automatically reformatted to give the user an experience better suited to their device.

Just think, no more loading a huge website and having to zoom in and out to find the content you’re looking for!  Responsive web design also takes into account interaction and makes your site easier to use by acknowledging and integrating things like, touch screens, to aid navigation.

Mobile Optimisation

Deciding what is most important to mobile device users with limited bandwidth, processing power and screen size, means we get rid of anything diluting our main purpose or message and therefore, across all sizes of the site, we are focussed and concise in offering a better experience to our customers.

There are advantages to optimising a website in this way.  Future proofing is one. Responsive sites work well across the multitude of existing devices on the market.  They create better, faster, smoother experiences.  They optimise your site no matter what device the user views it on, making life easier.

A responsive UI is becoming a “must have” these days.  Being able to offer customers a beautiful, optimised experience, regardless of their choice of device, means you’ll have expanded the reach of your service and the chances you have of engaging with individuals.

CF Suite

This is why Curtis Fitch have invested so much time in improving the CF Suite UI. Ease of use and an intuitive platform, accessible from any interface, ensures that user experience is one to remember. You get quicker, slicker and faster application. No bad thing surely?

The first phase of CF’s improved user interface will be launched in Spring ’16 with previews available in the run up. More detail on this to come but take a look at what we’ve been busy working on over the past few months.
